Drive and Grow Rich - Here's How To Profit While Commuting

By R.D. Smith

Today, just like yesterday and the day before, you will make your way through heavy traffic traveling to and from your job. It's certainly not the favorite part of your day, but in our modern world, it's often a necessity.

New studies show the average person in the average big city is spending 240 hours per year commuting. That's a LOT of time just looking out the window, time you could be putting to very good use.

Recently I created a monthly series of audio CDs that feature interviews with self-made millionaires and business leaders. People listen to the CDs while driving to work. Many of the ideas, strategies, and tips in the series are revolutionary for most people.

The rich usually got where they are because they know and believe things the rest of us don't. Let me share a few of those important thoughts with you:

(1) You will never earn a LOT of money as an employee. Unless you're the CEO of a large company, or even the top level manager of a large mid-sized business, government statistics reveal the vast majority of us will never earn more than a modest living.

I know, there are all kinds of stories floating around about this person or that who are getting paid big bucks, but extensive studies show big paychecks are the rare exception.

(2) To earn BIG money, you MUST own your own business. It's that simple. The rich are almost always business owners. Billionaires are ALWAYS business owners. It's the ONLY way, short of winning the lottery, to earn a great deal of money.

(3) You don't need your own money to make money. One thing I quickly learned after interviewing countless wealthy individuals is they insist on running their businesses on OTHER people's money. They even have a term for it -- OPM -- Other People's Money. Along with that belief are a whole system of skills used to find and enlist investors who pay for your business.

(4) Don't buy the things you want and need. The wealthy often have simple ways to get much of what they want for free. They get free stuff from suppliers, free advertising from media, even free trips and vacations to the world's top destinations.

(5) Most important, keep in mind becoming wealthy is largely a state of mind. If you can THINK like a wealthy person, you will become wealthy.

I also want to stress there is more to being wealthy than just having a lot of money. All that cash will do little good if you're still unhappy, or have bad relationships, or don't feel good about yourself. Right along with learning how to make money, also discover the methods to insure a highly successful life. - 23159

Forex Practice Accounts (Part I)

By Ahmad Hassam

The best way for new traders to get a handle on what currency trading is all about is to open a practice account. Almost every forex broker offers a free practice account to new clients. All you need to do is to sign up with any good forex broker.

Practice accounts give you the great chance to experience the forex market without losing your real money. You can see how the price changes at different times of the day. Practice accounts are funded with virtual money. So you are able to make trades with no real money at stake and gain experience in how margin trading works. The more you use the practice account, the more familiar you will become with how the forex market works. This will help build your confidence. Confidence is what you need when trading live.

You can trade your practice account with real market conditions without any fear of losing money. How various currency pairs may differ from each other? How the forex market reacts to new information when major news and economic data is released.

You will also learn using different market orders on your practice account. Imagine using your real money trying to figure out how different market orders work. You will learn on your practice account how to manage an open position? This will improve your understanding of how margin trading and leverage works. You can also start analyzing charts and following technical indicators on your practice account. Without any fear of losing your money, you can experiment with different trading strategies and see how they work out in the real market conditions.

You can also test drive all the features and functionality of a brokers platform. However, one thing you will never be able to simulate on your practice account is the emotions involved in trading. Emotions will only come into play once you put your real money on the line. Controlling emotions is the thing to become a successful trader. Practice accounts are a great way to experience real forex markets.

You can use market orders like the limit orders or the one cancels the other orders. However, you can also trade the current price of the market using the click and deal feature of your brokers platform. There are many ways to pull the trigger in the forex market. Pulling the trigger means how to enter or exit a position.

Many traders like the idea of opening a position by trading at the market as opposed to leaving an order that may or may not get executed. Most prefer the certainty of knowing that they are in the market.

Just specify the amount that you want to trade. Click on the buy or sell button to execute the trade. The forex trading platform responds back within a second or two with a pop-up message either confirming or not confirming that the position was opened. Most forex brokers provide live streaming prices that you can deal on with a simple click of your computer mouse.

You must know that attempts to trade at the market can sometimes fail in very fast moving markets. Currency markets can suddenly become highly volatile. This happens when prices are adjusting quickly like after a data release or break of a key technical level or price point. - 23159

What Happens When Stock Moves From OTC to NASDAQ

By Sam Nielson

Over the years, I've been asked a lot of questions. More than I can count. One question that keeps coming up is from traders who want to know what will happen to their OTCBB stock if it uplists to a major exchange like the Nasdaq.

Unless some special arrangement has been made, and you will know this from your brokerage firm, your stock will automatically transition to the Nasdaq.

This scenario is called a jumper. There is a good chance that your stock shares will gain in value because it opens your stock up to a whole new set of investors who only trade on major exchanges.

If there is a change in the ticker symbol, the company will contact you about it by standard mail or through a brokerage firm like Scottrade.

But let me be clear about something. You are stupid if you think you can pick jumpers and make money at doing this.

Slick con artists and their publishing companies will try and sell you on some alert service that supposedly has a guaranteed track record at picking jumpers but they are lying. Every last one of them.

In the hundreds of traders I've spoke with over the years, not one of them has told me that he made money from picking jumper stocks more than he lost.

Time for another dose of reality. Drink up. It doesn't cost that much more for a listing on a major exchange as it does on the OTCBB. If the company was such a good company, selling such a hot product, that had this great potential to jump from the OTC to the Nasdaq, then why didn't they just list on the Nasdaq in the first place? Hmmmmm? The main different between the two listings is not money, but the additional reporting requirements. Companies that list on the OTCBB don't want to disclose to investors what's really going on behind the PRs and they sure as hell don't want to provide this information on anything remotely close to a timely and regular basis.

That's the anti-moron truth. The main reason for a company to list on the OTC and not the NASDAQ in the first place is that they do not want to meet the stricter reporting requirements of a major exchange. They do not want investors looking at their financial statements. They do not want investors to know what is really going on.

The pink sheets is the only worse exchange on the planet. The OTCBB is one giant wanna be system set to favor scammers and bleed investors dry. More tomb stones exist in the Graveyard of Traders from the OTCBB market than any other market. Gambling in the OTCBB market is stupetarded. I should know, I had my life savings completely destroyed doing it by a company that was liquidated, and the CEO who is now in jail. This happens on major exchanges to but not nearly as much as the OTCBB.

Plus, think about this. The primary reason for investing in OTCBB was to get stocks cheap. Now that we are at a market bottom, many good companies listed on the major exchanges are at crazy OTCBB prices! Plus there's a lot less risk because stocks on the major exchanges have stricter disclosure and reporting laws they must follow than stocks listed on the OTCBB. So what is the advantage to the OTCBB at this present time? None. - 23159

Turn The Stock Market Into Your Own Personal ATM Machine Shocker!

By Lance Jepsen

The closing price is not equal to the opening price when it comes to trading in the stock market. You need to know that the closing price is much more important than the opening price. You are about to discover a little known truth that will have the stock market shooting out money like a broken ATM!

Let's begin.

The closing price is the value set for a given stock by all market participants trading that stock. It is the final consensus of value assigned to a stock on any given day by the crowd. It is the price everyone sees after work. It is the final price displayed on all daily stock charts people research at the end of a given trading day. In the futures market, the closing price is very important because trading accounts are settled based on it.

Institutional and professional traders will trade throughout the day. Their behavior is as follows. At the opening, they take advantage of opening prices by selling high openings and buying low openings. They then close out of those positions as the trading day goes on. What they do day in and day out is to trade against market extremes, also called fading. They are betting on a return to normalcy in any given market. When a stock price reaches a new high and then buy side volume falls, they sell and push the market down. When a stock price reaches a new low and then sell side volume falls, they buy and push the market up.

The waves of buying and selling by amateurs that hit the market at the opening usually subside as the day goes on. Why? Most traders on the west coast have a day job they have to go to so they log-on in the morning before work, put on a trade, then check it when they get home. Even traders on the east coast will put on a position at market open while at work and then check it at the end of the day. Near the closing time the market is dominated by professional traders.

Knowing this is a huge advantage! Why? Because it means that closing prices reflect the opinions of professionals. Look at any chart, and you will see how often the opening and closing ticks are at the opposite ends of a price bar. This is because amateurs and professionals tend to be on the opposite sides of trades. You want to trade with the professionals, not against them.

If a stock opens and runs up near its day's high at market open, then falls the rest of the day and closes near its day's low at market close, you want to close out your position if you are long. This is your first clue that the stock has run up enough to get the attention of professional traders who are fading against your position. - 23159
