Starting Out at Forex: Forex Investment Funds

By Bart Icles

The foreign exchange market is one the most popular trading venues wherein you can reap high returns on your investments, and you can also expect large losses. This is mainly the reason why traders need to educate themselves with all the basics of foreign exchange trading before they place any of their forex investments at risk. Even the smallest forex investment can mean the biggest losses if you do not give yourself enough time to learn and understand the various concepts associated with this form of trading.

Many new investors tend to place their forex investment at great risk because they often fail to appreciate the value of having a good background of what the foreign exchange market is. They fail to understand that their lack of experience can be compensated by proper training. Those who are able to appreciate this fact often find it easier to deal the different changes that happen in the forex exchange market. If you are new to the forex trading market and are quite unsure of how to successfully reap higher returns, then you might want to look into forex investment funds.

A foreign exchange investment fund is a pool of investments from several investors. In this manner, when the investment is able to generate gains, the proceeds are split among those who placed assets into the fund. In the same manner, when the trend goes against the trade, losses are also split among the investors. Foreign exchange investment funds often offer higher leverage than banks, and can therefore deliver more money compared with other investment options.

There are lots of foreign exchange investment funds out there and they all offer different levels of yields. To help you determine which funds to put your money into, there are some factors that you will need to take note of. A sustainable yield would approximately be between 10% and 20%. If a fund offers higher yields, you might want to think twice about putting your money on it because this would also mean higher risk.

You should also keep yourself from being carried away by ambition. You must be able to compare different forex investment funds based on services offered, legality, performance, support, and many others. Doing so will help you much in determining whether or not it is advisable to invest on such funds. It would also help to put small investments on different funds at first, before you finally decide to make a sizable investment on a certain fund. - 23159

Answer these Questions Before You Buy your First Real Estate

By Billy Chen

So you are planning to own your home. But before you make any serious commitment towards this end, we would like to present you this check list for you to ponder over your decision:

1. You must be ready to stay put at the new place for at least 3 years. From cost perspective, the high cost makes it impractical to own a new property if you can stay there for only under three years. And if you choose to sell away the new property within this short time frame, you very likely to end up poorer due to the high transaction fees charged on buying and selling a home. It does not matter if it is a rising or falling market, it is going to be a losing game for you. In fact when price falls, it is a double whammy as you not only have to foot the charges related to buying and selling, you will suffer from lower property price as well.

2. Brushing up your credit report. Unless you are filthy rich, you are not going to pay cash for your new home. The conventional source of fund would be lenders like bank. To make sure your application for a home mortgage goes as trouble free as possible, it is important your credit rating (publicly available) looks healthy. The trick is to obtain this rating report yourself before hand and when it signals problems, correct and fix them before you make appointment with the banks.

3. Find suitable home loan 80 percent of the purchased price is the average loan amount banks are willing to disburse, subject to qualification. But you can go to the online calculator to figure out more about the maximum loan amount the bank is willing to approve you. The calculator would require you to input information like your income, debts, and expenses to work out a loan comfortable to you, or to thee bank.

4. Size of down payment As mentioned above, banks expect you to put up at least 20 percent of purchase price. When you are not able to pay that amount, you may have to talk to some other lenders like the sub-prime folks.

5. Convenient public amenities and facilities for the family. The point cuts both way as buyers would want easy access to amenities and facilities while sellers knows they can charge a premium on their properties that are suitably located.

6. Can you find the new home yourself or do you need professional help? While Internet has touched on almost all aspects of human activities, home buyer/seller still prefer physical interactions. Do you have time to shop around the properties that are put on the market or do you engage the help of a professional real estate agent? Sometimes it is worthwhile to get professional help as the agent is familiar with the processes and when he represent your interest, you find yourself don't have to worry about a lot of hassles.

Finally, when you choose to go ahead with the house hunting, get ready for some serious work. Always do a background check on the property that interest you, before you get to meet the prospective seller or the representative. You would want to find out the sales trend of similar housing type in the nearby area. Check the most recent transacted prices. This way you will walk into the negotiation confident and talk your way into buying that dream home of yours. - 23159

Are Credit Cards After Bankruptcy A Dangerous Choice?

By Ian Black

In spite of the stigma and possible embarrassment of filing for bankruptcy, many folks have mitigating circumstances that make it often their only option to bypass repeated court proceedings against them. One thing that often worries these people is the obtaining of a Credit Card after Bankruptcy.

However regardless to what some may think obtaining a credit card after bankruptcy isn't impossible. There are companies willing to provide this although normally you can expect high interest rates and additional annual fees.

Did you know that once you have filed bankruptcy you cannot do so again for an additional seven years? This is why you will find some companies willing to provide you with a credit card.

Knowing this, these credit card companies have a legal recourse in collecting on any unpaid debt resulting from the card's use. While most debt charged on a credit card is considered unsecured, if the cardholder cannot file bankruptcy, the company can use wage attachment to gain repayment.

However as you will see it is one thing to obtain a credit card after bankruptcy but it is another to be able to use it safely. The danger is that with higher interest rates and extra fees on late payments you can quickly end up back in a bad credit situation.

Credit cards after bankruptcy are very often offered by companies supposedly as an option to help rebuild ones credit rating. People will very often pick these cards up in the hope of getting back on their feet. This is despite the fact that total annual fees can sometimes even equal that of their initial credit limit.

Troubles Can Keep Adding Up

Unfortunately, if you have a credit card after bankruptcy, and the initial fees, for example, are $290, and their initial credit limit is $300, being even a day late with the payment will result in a late fee of, on average, $30.

In turn this would push-up the liability to $320 which would cause another $30 fee for being over the limit, this means that the credit card holder would now have a debt of $350!

In addition to the new debt, the interest rate on the card can quickly go to the maximum allowed by law because you failed to meet your obligation on the credit card after bankruptcy.

You also would have no way out except to pay the balance on the card and some companies will make the demand that the balance be paid in full within 30 days or face collection action.

Wage garnishment, court proceedings and daily phone calls are just some of the things you can expect from here on in and it could well be years before you manage to clear up all your debts.

So as you can see although it is possible, it comes with some possible hefty consequences! The bottom line is, it will depend on your situation and your ability to keep in check on your payments as to whether it would be for you or not. - 23159

By Franks Nieves

Too often, people think that stock trading is something that only financial experts can understand. You do not have to be a financial guru to understand the dynamics of the stock market. Anyone can learn how the markets work by investing quality time into learning the stock market.

The stock market is best described as a global market where companies, corporations and individuals by and sell shares of stock. There are many kinds of stocks available, each with a unique set of market dynamics. Some stock investments cost more per share than others and yield a higher return on the dollar.

The stock market has a huge influence on the United States economy and global economies around the world. Countries rely on their ability to trade in the stock market as a means of keeping their economies strong and healthy. With the ability to trade, the economies of many countries would possibly fail.

Asides from the global implications of stock trading, the markets also influence the growth of new companies, and helps to insure the stability of established companies. As new companies go public, this opens the company up for massive growth funds that can be used to grow the company. Without people investing into new companies, the growth rate would be slow.

The stock market is also responsible in part for the strength of your retirement plan. Typically, companies let employees invest a certain percentage of their salaries as a means of investing into their retirement fund. When a company receives these funds, they are responsible for making wise investments on the behalf of the employees.

Some people think of the stock market as a guaranteed way to produce instant wealth. While there have been people that have produced big returns investing in stocks on a short term basis, typically most people make their money over the life of a stock. Long term investing is less risky.

Those who have made a lot of money in stocks have done so making wise decisions. Even more so, their decisions were not based on taking huge risks, but on experience and insight into how the markets work. It takes time to gain this level of experience.

If you want to get started, the best strategy may be to seek out a broker. They can provide you with a wealth of experience and tools to help you trade stocks successfully. This does not mean you will make one million dollars in a week or month. A good broker will help you make money over a long period of time which is usually much safer. - 23159
